Kody Theobald

Theobald finished up his college career in 2018 at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. After graduating from Freedom High School, Theobald went on to play primarily catcher with appearances at designated hitter over his two year career. 

 

In high school, Theobald was a three time letter winner in baseball after battling back from injury freshman year. In 2014, he earned Eastern Valley Second-team honors at first base and set a school record for single season hits. In 2015, he earned Eastern Valley First-team honors at catcher and led the team in batting average at .402. He also went on to break his pervious school record of single season hits as well as setting two new career records in putouts and assists. 

In college, Theobald settled in at catcher after red-shirting his freshman year. He appeared in ten games his second year and maintained a .453 average. During his time there, he caught for current and passed major league players and also got to work with major league catchers on a regular occurrence. 

 

After college, Theobald joined the Baseball coaching staff at Lawrence University for one season as assistant coach with a main focus on the catchers. 

Kody is excited for the opportunity to share his knowledge with the youth of the game.
