Riley Pelischek

Riley is a LHP from Denmark, Wisconsin who finished his collegiate baseball career at the end of 2017 baseball season with the Madison Wolfpack. He pitched 29 innings with a 4.38 ERA as both a starter and reliever. The team’s season ended one game away from the JUCO World Series.

Out of High School, Riley went to the University of North Dakota along with Jack Collins. The two of them were roommates and unfortunately, both were forced to leave following the termination of the Baseball program after their freshman season in 2016. However, in their time there, they got to play at venues such as USC, University of Alabama, and TD Ameritrade Park.

In High School, Riley was on the Varsity baseball team as a Junior and Senior. In 2014, Riley batted .408 along with going 5-0 on the mound with a 0.98 ERA. This would earn him 1st team all-conference outfield. As a Senior, Riley went 9-0 pitching with a 0.72 ERA. He would also go on to break the single season strikeout record at Denmark with 138k’s in 64 innings of work. This lead to him being 1st team all-conference as a pitcher, and winning Bay Conference Player of the Year.

In the summer of 2017, Riley played for the Kenosha Kingfish of the Northwoods League. After signing with the team to only play for 2 weeks, he made 5 appearances out of the bullpen. In those appearances, he gave up only one earned run in 5 innings in his time with the team.

In the fall of 2018, Riley began teaching baseball lessons with Velocity. He worked with both pitching and hitting classes all the way into May of 2019. Many of the kids that worked with Velocity in the offseason had their best baseball seasons yet this Spring. Now that he is done playing collegiate baseball, he would love to give back to the game and help kids achieve their baseball dreams.
